My artistic work consists of a deep dive into drawing and installation art with light, darkness, scale and presence as key words. I am interested in the development of my primitive, original expression and in creating a whole new place or world.

I use white laminated boards on which I apply different kinds of graphite. The expression becomes harder and more intense than on paper and the process becomes more painterly. My own associations leads to symbols, signs or cult objects from fictional worlds and religions. I see my drawing objects as a kind of altarpieces or an essence in itself. It is important that I feel that the image/object in front of me is exercising a form of power over me, which I do not have full control over.

The room and architecture plays a big role when I show my work, and are often even direct inspiration for the work, especially in my large-scale drawing installations where I use graphite on plastic-coated paper.
The artwork/installation takes possession of the room and has a dominant role in the surrounding architecture.

I want visitors to stop for a while and get an experience that is at once both strange and familiar, frightening and beautiful.
